Dorothy Wedderburn
Dorothy’s vibrant, multilayered works are a reflection of her eclectic life spent living in countries such as Bangladesh, England, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Somalia. Her use of fabric serves as an expression of colorful identity.
Her unique creations, called "Ragments" begin with discarded garments, which she cuts, stitches, patches, prints, and sews back into wearable items.
Dorothy’s work highlights both the diversity and common humanity she’s encountered. Since 2008, she has been a valued member of Galerie Zone in Leiden, where you can find more of her work.
